-Our Fabric-

Here at Little Fawn Lane we strive to provide the best service we can. To us this means you, the customer, knowing exactly what you are going to receive.

I know myself I prefer shopping in person rather than online because I love to feel the fabric first, this is why this page exists.

I want you to be able to imagine the feel and picture each type of fabric your garment will be made from with no confusion, as well as being able to get a glimpse at some of the fabric colours and patterns we offer.

Of course we can source a specific colour/pattern just for you, and are even happy for you to send us fabric you have bought for us to create your garment from.

There are 3 main types of fabric we create with (all made from 100% cotton, unless otherwise specified); poplin, quilting weight and duck, as well as specialty materials such as the magical velvet and fleece lining for the Dutchess coat, and our knit’s.

Poplin is the thinnest of the 3 types of cotton fabrics we use. It is a lighter, airier, more flowing fabric. Lighter colours will often show through darker colours underneath. It is less durable then quilting weight but it is less prone to wrinkling and will iron out easier.

Quilting weight is the middle thickness fabric we use. It is still light and airy to wear due to the cotton nature of the fabric. Is has slightly less drape then poplin but still looks amazing as skirts and dresses. It is more durable then poplin but slightly more prone to wrinkling and will need an iron before each wear to remove those wrinkles.

Duck or duck canvas is the thickest fabric we use. It is very durable but is most prone to wrinkling and will need a good iron to get those wrinkles out. Is have the least drape but still looks amazing in dresses and skirts, see Lacy Dress, it is also the warmest of the three.
